Chas (Bokaro) :: To bring out the hidden talent of all students in field of culture and music ,besides reiterating their faith and knowledge in the rich and vibrant traditions of Indian culture ,the three days Cultural Week ‘Fiesta’ named ‘Avirbhav’ began today at DPS Chas (Bokaro) on a grand colourful note.
The theme of the cultural week – group song competition, where the teams from all the four houses viz. Ganga, Jamuna, Chenab and Sutlej showcased their captivating performances by rendering their voices to songs ,based on Indian season.
Chenab House stole the show and bagged the first position with their enchanting performance, singing the song, welcoming the rainy season while Sutlej House got the second position whereas Ganga and Jamuna houses bagged the third position jointly.
Appreciating the performance the Chief Guest on the occasion, Sarita Sinha, Principal- DPS Dhanbad, said that DPS Chas has made its mark in field of education in a very short span of few years which is now known for the holistic development of children and this programme is evidence of the same.
She stated that she is sure to see the school taking top ranks in field of education in the coming days.
Appreciating the spectacular performances, CCRT chairperson and highly renowned visionary in the field of education and noted social reformer, Chief Mentor of DPS Chas- Dr Hemlata.S.Mohan said that she was mesmerized by the performance of all participants and expressed her deep satisfaction ,which was mirrored today in the cultural competition. “The Cultural Week at school is one of the many opportunities for the students to express their talent in various performing arts through competitions”, she stated.
The judges for today’s function were Prasenjit Sharma, Dhananjay Chakraborty and Vicky Pathak.
Welcoming the guests, DPS Chas Principal- Neelkamal Sinha stated that the school was trying its best to cater holistic education to bring out the best of each student.
Head mistress-Rashmi Sinha proposed vote of thanks to all guests.
